Eliza Lampert

Eliza Lampert, a Chicago native, is a high school senior at the Latin School of Chicago.  Eliza has been performing as a vocalist since she was 7 years old and has developed a wide range of musical knowledge from rock to classical to opera Eliza has performed with her band Metacognate, the acoustic duo of Eliza x Richard, and School of Rock Chicago at intimate venues such as Chicago’s Subterranean and New Jersey’s Stanhope House and larger venues such as Park West, Lollapalooza, the United Center (where she sang the “National Anthem” before a Bulls Game), and the 2019 Cubs Convention (where she serenaded Kris Bryant). This past summer, Metacognate spent weeks in the studio recording their debut album “In the Wake of Insomnia,” which is available on all streaming platforms. Eliza also has been selected as a School of Rock AllStar, a distinction given to the top 1% of School of Rock students, a company-record 5 consecutive times. In addition to her rock music pursuits, Eliza is heavily involved at Temple Sholom and works closely with the cantor to sing at the High Holidays and Shabbat services. Last summer, Eliza participated in the “Open Heart” educational trip to Israel with her former teachers from Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School to study how to combat antisemitism within her high school community. She also serves as a head of Latin’s Jewish Student Affinity, has been Editor-in-Chief of her school newspaper for two years, and was selected to write for the Jewish Telegraphic Agency as a teen fellow in the winter of 2022.
